Guelph’s Market Square was revitalized to rejuvenate the city’s historic downtown and develop a place for the public to congregate and host community events. 

BETA completed an 8500 square foot elliptical splash pad. Seven sculptural water jets surround the water feature, as well as LED lighting and a sound system. In the winter the splash pad becomes an ice skating rink. 

The splash pad serves as the location for many of the city’s festivals and events, and is fitted with a subsurface reservoir to hold and recycle water for market festivals and concerts.
